Awesome for watchtower library.
Super fast and getting better
iSilo is the app I use the most on my iPhone. I use it for reference docs, notes, travel plans...basically any and all documents I want to keep close and ready to view. I wouldn't be able to live without it.
This app just keeps getting better. It seems that many of the people who gave a lower rating and had some issues did not even bother to go to iSilo's excellent support forum where they could have most likely gotten their problems resolved. People, I hate to break this to you, but the customer review section of the app store is *not* a customer support forum. The developer is not given a way to respond to anything anybody writes.
The latest update really improves on the performance. Scrolling was great before, but now is so much smoother even with large documents. Searching is noticeably especially faster. I timed a search through a large document and compared to the previous update on my older iPhone 3G, searching in the latest update is six times faster on my new iPhone 3GS. The new quick text copy functionality is also super handy.
I really like the Point Assist feature for selectively copying and annotating text. Makes the app that much more useful.
Ok app but weak search and annotate
The only reason I use iSilo at this point is that certain licensed documents requiring software keys are only available thru iSilo or a a similar app. I read virtually all other documents, particularly PDFs (web pages converted to PDFs, articles etc), in iAnnotate.
